PROMETIS Ltd. is the most experienced Croatian company in the field of road traffic counting. It is the legal successor of the Institute of Traffic Sciences, which has been involved in the project of regular traffic counting on the roads of the Republic of Croatia from the very beginning. Through decades of professional work, methodological and technological innovations, we have strongly influenced the formation of the traffic counting system in Croatia, which is established as it is in developed European countries. Thanks to this experience and contribution, the competent ministry and the Central Bureau of Statistics have recognized us as a reference company providing expert opinions in the field of road traffic counting in Croatia.

The traffic counting system in Croatia includes motorways, state, county and local roads. Regular annual publications with processed results , which we prepare and publish, represent an irreplaceable source of reliable information on the structure and volume of road traffic for a large number of domestic and foreign professional users.

After decades of development and technological changes, the current system is largely based on the technology of automatic stationary and portable automatic counting. PROMETIS Ltd. also uses the same technology in traffic counting projects on city roads and intersections.
