ABOUT PROMETIS
On July 21, 1965, the Government of the Republic of Croatia and nine companies and their associations founded the Institute for Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, as the first and for a long time the only Croatian research company in the field of transport and communications. In early 1975, the company changed its name to the Institute of Transport Sciences.
In 1968, the Institute co-founded the first interfaculty Traffic Studies Program in Croatia. From 1978 to 1987, it operated together with the Traffic Sciences Program in the joint company Prometni centar.
During the privatization process in 1992, the company changed its name to PROMETIS d.o.o., still maintaining traffic research and development, traffic design and road traffic counting as the backbone of its activities.
The company played a particularly important role in creating the transport development of Croatia.

The PROMETIS company's staff base consists of graduates in traffic, civil and electrical engineering, and the range of staff includes employees from technicians to PhDs. In accordance with the requirements of individual projects, experts from outside the company in the fields of traffic, civil engineering, architecture, mathematics and economics are also involved in the development of projects through various forms of cooperation.
The permanent team consists of four graduate traffic engineers, two of whom are certified road traffic engineers, a graduate and certified construction engineer, a graduate electrical engineer, two field technicians and an administrator.
